The Regiment is one of three Royal Engineer specialist Bomb Disposal regiments. Our sister Regiments are 33 and 35 Engineer Regiments (EOD & S).

As of 28-Jul-18 101 (City of London) Engineer Regiment (EOD & S) became a Reserve Regiment.

The Regiment currently consists of 4 Squadrons:
- 217 Field Squadron (EOD)
- 221 Field Squadron (EOD)
- 350 Field Squadron (EOD)
- 579 Field Squadron (EOD)
- RHQ is now located at the Catford ARC.
